The accounting assistant primarily supports accountants by handling daily financial data, verifying vouchers, posting entries, and preparing reports, serving as an entry-level role in the finance team.
Daily work
- 01Collect and organize original vouchers such as invoices and expense reports for preliminary review
- 02Post journal entries in the financial system with correct account codes
- 03Assist in bank reconciliation and preparation of balance adjustment schedules
- 04Participate in month-end closing and help prepare financial statements
- 05Maintain accounting files, including binding, archiving, and storage
Ability requirements
Hard skills
- Basic accounting knowledge (debit-credit bookkeeping, transaction processing)
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Yonyou, Kingdee) and Excel
- Understanding of Chinese tax laws and invoice regulations
- Primary accounting certificate or equivalent qualification preferred
